Tough to say. Texas is the better job, but not by as much as many would say.

But I'm not sure Lane is as much of a fit at UT as he would be at LSU or Florida

Lane is choosing Ole Miss or Florida.

I’m about 60% Ole Miss and 40% Florida.

Lane at Texas just doesn’t seem like a good fit to me culturally.

Don’t get me wrong they will always have athletes galore and he could do well there offensively, but he’s never struck me as a Texas guy who would want to deal with that fan base.

LSU loves a brash but likable personality, we have loud and enthusiastic people here, so Lane’s shite talking and trolling would probably be more revered here.

Lane is made for LSU or UF

Not so much UT.

People will say I'm nuts but if Sark leaves I could see UT trying to raid little bro and steal Elko

Lane does not want to stay at ole Miss. not sure why people think this. He’s ready for a bigger job.

He has Ole Miss ranked 7th in the nation. That's hard to do at a place you don't want to be at.

I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't leave for UF or LSU if its offered by either or both

I think OM would have to give him a RIDICULOUS offer to get him to not leave

He was pretty harsh saying he’s not leaving. Seemed like pressure from boosters about play calling responsibilities to me.

If Texas opens half the FBS will be hiring new coaches

It's called auditioning for a bigger job. You win and they pay attention to you. You are on the radar and get an interview. Kiffin has his eyes on a bigger job. He wanted LSU before and he wants it now.

Was he snubbed by LSU? If not, why isn't he the coach there now?

There were rumors that he very very much wanted the LSU job when O was fired but they didn't look his direction at all

So he was snubbed. But now that he's had success at another SEC school, LSU admins/and fans think his feelings are still the same? There's only ONE school that took the chance to hire him when they had the opening available and that's Ole Miss. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he'll remain loyal to the one who made him an SEC HC.

And for the record, I wouldn't expect him to leave Ole Miss to come to Bama for the same reason.

We had 29 scholly players in 2021 with a coach who threatened to take fans out back to mudholes and sleeping in bed with random women.

Lane was a great coach in 2021 but LSU needed BK at the time for roster management and have someone with that experience.

LSU is set up for success now. This is the best time it has ever been to coach LSU

That's a lie. BK didn't even do a good job of roster management his entire time at LSU.

I know you're getting downvoted, but I agree with you.
