Not a sexy hire Pat Fitzgerald wants a job and would be hungry. Could be a second chance and not too expensive. But hell I don’t know. Just an opinion.

Who is gone that you wanted at LSU? Marshall Faulk?

LSU should go after Dilly if Lane stays at OM.

Give Dilly an offer he cant refuse....im just going to throw this out there and see if it sticks. If LK says no, do you think Saban would reconsider? I know its far out there and reaching. Thoughts?

Eric Morris or Alex Golesh would’ve been tremendous hires. But they aren’t “big time” enough for LSU.

So if Kiffen declines, which I think he will, then where do you go?

You’re assuming he said no to begin with… Might be a bad assumption.

If LK isn't leaving, he sure has a funny way of staying at OM.

Glenn Schumann is better prepared to run a big time SEC program than either of them. At least Golesh has spent some time in the league, but Schumann has spent his career working for Saban and Kirby as a part of title teams. I do not understand why other fans can’t see that he’s better prepared than most of the G5 clowns.

If you want to know why to not hire Golesh, just go look at this season. He’s personally responsible for them not being in the playoff hunt when they had a golden opportunity and more talent than almost anyone they played. He single-handedly blew the Memphis game. Abysmal game management.

We have a highly paid team with an AD who is responsible for getting us the best coach. If he put it all on Lane then shame on him. Lane is a flake. Everyone knows that. If they took the lazy route on this, the fans need a discount on tickets.
If we don’t get the right guy then we need a change to our decision makers and AD.

I say give it to Baker on a 4 year deal and see what he can do. We have pushed our chips to the middle of table for Lane. It was always gonna be a tough situation if our deal with him fell through at the 11th hour. Same applies to Ole Miss because they probably miss out on their top replacement options if Lane leaves them on Saturday/Sunday night.

I would 110% take Baker on cheap over Drink. Maybe lower floor but potentially higher ceiling.
