It’s not working at USC. They had a super talented team this year and went 7-5.

Im sure all the nfl teams watching usc are just lining up to hire him

Believe he confirmed he is staying.

Saban said, “I will not be the head coach of Alabama.” Guess what?

It's a simple concept, really. You hire an offensive "genius" as HC, with the following logic: he has been a HC in college, so you know he understands how to run a staff.
You go get your standard NFL-tier DC to run the defense, and let your GM handle the roster.
Riley has shown he can craft a potent offense around a dual-threat with average passing skills (Hurts), an average passer (Mayfield), an athlete (Kyler Murray), and now an above-average passer (Williams). He's done it at 2 schools (Oklahoma and now USC), so you know it's his schemes, and not just the talent at one place.
The idea being that the talent in the NFL is roughly equal, and having some offensive creativity is what could elevate you to a playoff team. Having that with a top QB could win you a Super Bowl.

He would suck in the NFL.

He already has problems with firing coaches who are his buddies. That kind of “leadership” won’t fly in the NFL.

Not this cycle. Maybe next year.
Plus, the USC boosters are paying Riley the kings ransom.

Let's see him do it at a school without the pedigree of Ok and USC

So did LSU, Texas A&M, and others.

I mean the front office usually handles that kind of stuff in the NFL

He pretty clearly doesn't give a frick. I forget which game it was but he had a postgame presser a few weeks ago that reminded me of one of Orgeron's when he was a lame duck at LSU.

Sounds like a perfect fit for saints

If not, he's likely to get fired so yeah, if someone will take him.

This. Loomis is the only GM who'd probably get conned into hiring Riley.
