But according to Woodward acolytes, there can be no leaks, ever, because only his braintrust knows the master plan - so this situation would never materialize. That's yet another problem with the zealots here, they are internally inconsistent. Is there a prospect of leaks or not?
People can delude themselves if they wish, but I'll remain rational. The most probable explanation for recent events is that Woodward targeted Riley and missed, not some sprawling conspiracy of coincidence and nefarious, cunning agents. It's laughable. Woodward may still hire a great coach, but he's not an infallible genius. Sorry. I'm going to wait to see who the actual hire is.

The reason he was hired was because the thought process was not to enter the rinse and repeat, continuation of the current program.
