I cannot see a legit candidate coming in at this point to Michigan unless Manuel is fired.

I think the folks at Michigan know this and are probably trying to negotiate a quiet exit.
Among those hired while Manuel has been AD:
Juwan Howard-punched another coach
Denard Robinson - DUI and sign stealing scandal
Steve Clinkscale - Two-year show-cause action and DUI
Matt Weiss - Federal computer access crimes
Greg Scruggs - DUI
Fergus Connolly - DUI, Hitting cop Biting tech taking blood.
Jim Minick - DUI
Sherrod Moore?

Michigan needs to step out of their "Michigan Man" bubble and look for someone who can look their admins in the eye and state "I don't care how you've always done it, you're all damned morons!"

Pate suggested that if they had lost 4 games, Moore was out and then this happened. Also said he'd been told by people there that Moore was a bridge coach from Harbaugh to the next guy they actually wanted. They only hired him because of lingering NCAA hammer and he did them a favor by being horny.

Maybe people shoull recognize that sports coaches are not paragons of virtue. Our history of coaches across multiple sports is really not so stellar.
