The way Aranda has the defense playing, even modest production from the offense (20-22 pts/game)and we would be undefeated.
As frustrating as it is to see the offense struggle, looking at the players in all skill positions and an above average OL (talent wise), it is reasonable to expect that a good OC/HC can make this team effective on the offensive side of the ball. Jimbo will not turn the team into Oregon or Texas Tech, but he knows how to make use of the talent he has. I'll take the known track record of Jimbo over rolling the dice with some of these other guys.
LSU Football does not need to be re-made. It just needs to be made better.

iDk..they had 5,857 total yards . 2600 yards rushing, 3257 passing. Ranked #3 all time in LSU history, 2nd all time in pass completions, 3rd all time in scoring. With a defense that was only allowing an avg of 69 yards a game, that usually wins championships.
With opposing teams going 3 and out, yeah, lots of time of possession and opportunities to rack up yards. When most people think of 2003 we see Matt Mauck being an efficient quarterback and definitely not a Drew Brees type of quarterback. LSU in the early 2000's was not known as a high powered offense. To say otherwise is ludicrous.

one of my employees referred to him as Dumbo.

Jimbo was ridiculed for being too predictable in his play calling and underachieved with the talent that we had on the offensive side of the ball. He went to FSU and he is now a quarterback developing guru who keeps the defenses guessing on every down.
So the same complaint fans had with every coordinator under Miles?

How soon we forget Jimbo...

he was under Les Miles.
He has now won 3 ACC titles and won a NC and had 3 first round draft picks at QB-1 being #1 overall.
O has simply taken over 2 top tier teams with top tier talent and been very successful.
not to mention the issues LSU fans had with Jimbo a number of years ago are not even in the same universe as the issues Orgeron had at Ole Miss.
I honesly feel like beefense these days. I am astounded at how idiotic so many LSU fans are. It's insane. I don't live in Louisiana, and therefore am surrounded by other fans. Mostly UT, Bama, Vandy and AU. Literally every non LSU fan friend of mine is praying to God LSU hires Orgeron full time.
Get. a. fricking. grip!

If you've watched LSU football since Les Miles came here, you would easily realize he had his thumb on every OC we've had.
Not only that, but look at Gundy after Miles left OK St.
So in review:
Jimbo = JR, Flynn, Winston, Rohan, Coker, Ponder, Manuel
Miles = JJ, JLee
And people are saying Jimbo was the reason LSU sucked?

Miles gets Mettenberger.
but he also gets Jennings and Harris.

Well that theory works well for Alabama. Yeah it's called good balanced football. This is the SEC not the big 12. And I will also add that under's fisher's LSU tenure, LSU had the 2 of the top 4 LSU offenses of all time, 3 of the top 4 Single season best QBs. Coached the 3rd best QB statistically , 3 0f the top 4 best seasons of all time in completions , top 2 qbs in Touchdowns. 2003 is arguably the most balanced LSU offense ever. Weren't known as high powered offenses? That's a point, but for LSU standards statistically were the best and that includes going against Hodson's numbers. LSU is know for defense. Been like that since 1908. Combine a good defense with an upper tier SEC offense, that spells championships. 2006 Might have been the best Overall LSU team but got dropped 23-10 in Gainesville and the whole auburn bullshite .

And your opinion is automatically disqualified.
Is that why FSU hired him away to be HCIW? Because he sucked?

Holy frick, do you not remember 2001? Rohan Davey and Josh Reed?
We literally had a Biletnikof winner on our team that had 300 yards receiving in Tuscaloosa
