Lets say Clemson rolls them by 30+ this week, it will be another disappointing year with no offense.

He hasnt grown the program year over year like expected

They won 3 games the year before him and he will have gone 6-7 9-4 and 8-5 or 7-6. I’m pretty sure he’s recruiting his arse off. He’s fine

Their fans aren't the most demanding, although this season he's lost some equity. Their defense was really young tho.

Next year is big for him...

About as safe as any coach not named Smart or Saban or Mullen in the league. SOS ran the program completely underground with zero talent and WM won 9 ball games his second year with 4...maybe 5 W personnel. And he is doing a good job of building some talent with argueably the second best program in USA sharing the same state.

Their offense is easily the most productive a WM team has had in terms of scoring and yards.

Also, it's South Carolina. The fact that they are 3/3 in making the postseason means that things aren't too bad there.

He's been solid by South Carolina standards. He didn't inherit a great roster from Spurrier

this is Will Muschamp's best offense as a HC.

USC offensive ranks in SEC play;

2016 - 14/14 315 ypg ... 14/14 15.8 ppg
2017 - 10/14 350 ypg ... 11/14 24.5 ppg
2018 - 7/14 393 ypg ... 4/14 28.8 ppg

he never came close to putting up the 2018 numbers at UF.

the problem this season has been the defense - with its high amount of injuries and no quality depth - along with a turnover margin that was +11 last year and -5 this season.

Will is nowhere near a hot seat, but the fan base has been quite vocal about the loss at UK, and especially brutal after the aborted 17 lead with 19 minutes to play at UF.

revisit Will Muschamp's 'hot seat' status at Carolina entering the 2020 season, at the earliest.

Unless there is a major scandal about to break they would be crazy to fire him right now.

I think he gets 5 years

Woulda been more if Spurrier didn't have the success he did (well those 3 11 win seasons)

He's safe regardless of the outcome of Clemson game, but many fans are restless.

Muschamp is safe. I almost feel bad for South Carolina because they are so willing to pay tons of money for a good coach, but they keep getting mediocre results( Holtz at the end, Ole Ball Coach, now Muschamp). They really have a dedicated fan base that wants to win (like the Ole Miss of the East). I think they should take a page out of Ole Miss’ playbook and hire an up and coming offensive minded coach (should have hired Fedora, but he’s damaged goods with UNC now).

IMO he's doing a solid job. Really tough spot trying to overcome Clemson in-state and UGA in the East.

I was on board with this from the start.

Really wanted Riley and Herman.

Still do....

I wanted Riley as OC at LSU when he was with ECU. Can you imagine LSU now with Riley as HC and Aranda as DC?

He is safe . USCe fans are ok with being average and doing good when everyone else is down .

I think that's going to be tough because I don't see Florida, Georgia or Clemson being down anytime soon.

Riley is a Mike Leach disciple which I loved.

Was fun to see two QBs from his coaching tree last night light it up.

Shocked Muschamp hasn't been more successful especially with all the resources you need at a school like Florida.
Plus he turned down the coach in waiting deal he had at UT
