How Locked Up Are Peetz and Mangas?

It appears that Joe Brady is about to get the Falcons job. What happens if he comes after Peetz and Mangas for his staff? I am sure that LSU saw this coming. Did we put anything in their contracts to prevent them from jumping ship right away?
I hope so. Otherwise we may be starting from scratch next week.

At this point it would not surprise me that both will be gone. Either with Brady to the Falcons or Carolina may offer them the OC position. This would be exactly something that would happen. To Orgeron and LSU

Seems like a very slim cance that the Falcons would accept a rookie HC and OC. But possible I guess.
Can't imagine Peetz taking a lesser position. Mangas might consider a move though.

Here is my guess.. just a guess.
The Falcons will likely partner Brady with an experienced play caller on both offense on defense. That’s what you do with young coaches. Joe knew this as part of his interview process.
I think the bigger threat is Carolina, but I’m willing to bet that Matt and Joe had some conversations about his departure. Joe got the gist that Matt was going to look for an outside candidate. So, Joe told O “here are my guys.”
Again, just guessing.

I would imagine this possible scenario was already discussed.
Brady was already being mentioned for HC jobs when Peetz left. Brady will be his own play-caller, so Peetz going to be QB coach under him would not elevate his situation.

shite changes all the time during the coaching carousel. Plenty of other coaches out there. If shite happens, LSU will just have to regroup and make another hire while fans unnecessarily melt.

I believe Joe should hire Coach E as his OC. After all, the offense was his according to O. I say this tongue in cheek of course

I seriously doubt this happens, Brady will be his own playcaller and Peetz wants to be a play caller. I'm sure they discussed this possibility as well.

Exactly, I can see them giving the keys to the franchise to 3 rookie labeled coaches at there positions, maybe in a year are two, but not asap!! but shite, who da hell knows, these days, nothing surprises me

Actually, just the opposite. LSU allowed for an NFL clause in both contracts. they can leave for any NFL job without penalty.

You don’t hire an Offensive Wiz Kid to not trust him running his offense
McVay’s first OC was Matt LaFleur
Payton’s first OC was Doug Marrone (never been an OC)

I agree. LSU fans are strange. Bama fans will go to their grave without bad-talking their program or anyone in it. LSU fans are calling Coach o an idiot and low IQ...man, get behind your team or find a new team. We will never keep a good coach if the fans don't stop the nonsense.

Doubt this happens but it would be kinda funny to see him make a move on both. Not really that unrealistic tbh. He's not obligated to O or LSU and they like to keep people they know around them in the coaching carousel.
Coaches don't like burning bridges with other coaches either so for that reason I don't think Brady would do that.

Yeah, I wasn’t thinking that they would take over play calling. Just help with installs and what not.

even if that scenario transpires, do you think Brady is gonna pay him 1.2M like LSU? Rumor was Peetz's salary tripled. NFL team willing to pay a rookie OC 1.2M?
