Serious question. Is it even in the top 5 in the SEC?

well it pays great, they also love giving bad contracts. it has great access to recruits, you do have to deal with Saban every year.

1. Bama
2. Florida
3. LSU
4. Georgia
5. Auburn
6 A&M

Doesn't matter, it's the top job on the market right now. That's why it was smart to fire him now

It's not top 5 in the sec.

Alabama Florida LSU Georgia and Texas A&M are all better jobs right now.

i just feel like auburn is a sneaky really tough job when you consider the expectations and the fact that they have to share the state with bama and they have to play three other of the top 6 or so recruiting powers in the country every year

i understand things get stale and sometimes you have to make a move but they need to hire the right guy to justify it imo

Real answer: Somewhere between 5-7 in normal years.

Top jobs would be Bama, UGA, UF and LSU. LSU largely because of having an entire state to dominate without competition. LSU might not be better than Auburn given their current clusterfrick, however.

A&M is a very good job because they have $$$ to throw around. Less prestigious and meaningful than AU, though.

But 5ish in the SEC is top 12-15ish in America.

and because of location, and because of how big the alumni base is, and because we have all of the infrastructure in place

Gus made the Auburn job harder than it should be. That clown signed 9 highschool OL players in 4 classes between 2016 and 2019, and only 7 of them stay on roster. What team can win like that? We have 2 DL recruits starting on OL this season.

Naw A&M isn't a better job, have you seen their cheerleaders? I would put them right their at 4th but still a potential top tier job in the sec. You can realistically win championships there.

Those all go hand in hand

Infrastructure=money
Being in Texas = where the money came from

The expectations are far lower at Oregon. He could be fired in 3 years at a school like Auburn.

LSU is arguably easier to win at

But far more prestige at UF and UGA. More money, more important states, etc.
