Having to deal with that every year while your two rivals are on an incredible run of recruiting does not seem very attractive to me at all.

I imagine your quality of life reflects this mentality.

The last three coaches at LSU, including 2 certified idiots, have won national titles at LSU. I’d say LSU is right behind Bama as the premier coaching destination.

Serious question. Is it even in the top 5 in the SEC?
It's up there. They have potential, it seems to be the only SEC program where the players' mindset is that the Alabama game is NOT a default loss.

They've won the SEC and a BCS title, and played for another.

I'd say the LSU job is better, but not to the point where if Auburn offered you tomorrow, you'd wait on LSU to decide if they want to can Orgeron... and it seems like they're looking at the same group we are.

The ability to win at LSU is attractive, as I said.

But it’s a small state and a relatively low profile school that isn’t a blue blood and isn’t flush with cash. UGA and UF are more premier jobs, and nationally it wouldn’t be close on perception of that.

Auburns recruiting grounds are so close to Bama and UGA. That is a problem when those programs are on

National perception tends to follow programs that've won national championships lately, especially those with multiple titles.

Georgia's "brand" isn't that significant outside the South for that reason.

UGA and UF are the closest the SEC has to universally revered brands like Texas, Virginia or Michigan.

I like LSU more than UGA. But winning at UGA has way more upside than winning at LSU. So does UF.

Florida & Georgia would both trade places with LSU the last two decades & it’s not even questionable

LSU has more hardware, recruits just as well if not better, has more nfl players, better fan base.

But I guess uga & FL are bigger? Yay

Not much. That is a really tough job. Its a competitive program but really hard to sustain. If Saban doesn't exist then you could probably say its a top 5 job.

Not even questionable is a bit ridiculous. Why would UF trade places? They've had great success the last 2 decades.

Exactly what categories?

While LSU is very underrated in academics, UGA & UF are over-rated in athletics.

LSU has played in 4 national title games & won 3.

Florida has played & won 2.

LSU has won the sec 5x.

Florida has 3.

Florida has fired 3 coaches in that time frame.

LSU has won championships with three different coaches.

The Meyer era was spectacular but the rest overall, has been flat,

Money? In what way? Do you really believe LSU is just a poor little school with no successful alums & boosters?
Size? Yes, LSU enrollment has remained steady for >30 years as admission standards have steadily risen. Meanwhile, other SEC schools outside of Vandy just admit everyone that wants in.
State? LA gets knocked around plenty, especially by hurricanes. What is so great about GA & FL?
Prestige? Exactly how is this measured? Yeah, LSU is such a bad school that kids from every LA parish, all 50 states, & 100 different countries go there.
Academics? Ah, the old “we have higher rankings” BS. LOL, who actually believes lazy lists that start with the same 50 schools every year without real changes?
Name brand? Which metric is used to quantify this?

An Alpha does not care about who he’s got to knockoff. An Alpha builds a program and culture that is focused on winning everyday.

Auburn is not an alpha program. They have never yet made a full playoff run to championship. So you are correct.
