He’s mostly had top 15 classes at Notre Dame only to get bounced by superior SEC teams the last few years. We’re not THAT much more talented than Notre Dame.

What's Billy Napier's record against Top 10 teams? Dave Aranda's?

And now he has little academic restrictions and talent filled state with no in-state competition and long existing pipelines into Texas and Florida to couple with his Midwest connections to lock in top 5 classes on the regular.

His record vs other LSU hires

More wins than all of the hires since Charly Mac combined!

Bo Rein 27-18-1
2 bowls
1 conference title

Bill Arnsbarger no hc experience

Mike Archer no hc experience

Curly Hallman 23-11
1 bowl

Gerry DiNardo 19-25

Nick Saban 34-24-1 @ Mich St, 9-2 @ Toledo
3 bowl losses

Les Miles 28-21
3 bowls

Ed Orgeron 10-25 @ Ole Miss, 6-2 @ USC (interim)

Brian Kelly 263-96-2
2 div II championships
15 bowls (incl sugar and orange at Cincinnati )
2 NC appearances

Are you sure this is a bad thing? I’m certainly not.

Gerry Dinardo waxed Nick Saban’s butt in the Independence Bowl.

So yall say he's a great recruiter and regularly puts together top 10 classes, but then say he's terrible vs ranked teams because he had inferior talent.

You can't have both, so which is it?

He won’t have academic restrictions and will get the horses that he may have not had that made him 3-8. BK solidifies one side of the ball which LSU hasn’t had a head coach who could in 17 years.

ND is so hard to recruit elite talent to because of academic restrictions. I would guess that in almost all of those top 5 match ups, he had the less talented team. He is leaving one of the hardest programs to recruit to for one of the easiest. Its not hard to understand.

WHo says that? He's had 3 top 10 classes (out of the 11 I looked at) at ND and 2 of those were 9.

During that same time LSU had 9 of 11 top 10 classes all 8 or higher, 6 of them top 5.
