This is the signal that you actually do have someone legit giving you info. Rousse is a legit front runner for the president position.

Kelly’s agent is Trace Armstrong. That’s money out of his pocket. Ironically, he also represents James Franklin.

Maybe some sort of agreement about the lawsuit with Greg Brooks or dirt on BK there?

I imagine the negotiations is for a lump sum vs paying over the next 5 years.

I'm sure someone has said it, but he's 64 and part of the deal is he has to look for and accept employment. If he's as checked out as people are saying he might just say frick it and take 25-30m.

Right. A fat $25mm check and LSU waives the mitigation clause. It’s not a bad deal for Kelly at all.
this is how you do it. Kelly could likely go get 6-7m a year tomorrow and come out like a bandit

Win win IF he plans on coaching more. Which I can't imagine him being done.

They settled at $25 million

Why would you settle for half? Especially if you are an arrogant prick like BK. I dont buy that rumor.

Getting it all up front now vs it being paid out over years and being reduced by whatever his new job is going to pay him.

Also another hold up is all the big time boosters do not want Woodward having full reign on this process.

McNeese President Dr. Wade Rousse has impressive qualifications and unique skills to become LSU's President.

Possible LSU President Candidate

what I heard is that LSU has some dirt on Kelly, thus a negotiated lower buyout. I'll leave it at that.
