I'm not sure how techy you are, but this could help in verifying the validity of the source email. It's pretty easy to spoof an email chain and with forwarded emails, you can't get the server details from the original email.

If supa says it’s potentially legit, then that’s good enough for me. Obviously the situation is very fluid. LR is my #1 and I’m really trying not to get too excited about this

Ah. Gotcha.
That's not really much trouble either, it's just a matter of editing the text of the original sender's name and email address when you're forwarding the email.
But not relevant since an email wasn't even forwarded.

You do know we have won three national championships since you guys last did right? Have you forgotten that? Two of those times we got to stomp you. LSU is the better program and he can finally field a good defense here instead of up in Choklahoma.
