What would Riley's motivation be in making a change?
Is he at odds with the administration or something? Nothing else makes sense, especially with a pending move to the SEC.

if OU leaves the B12 early, there is a MASSIVE financial penalty. Everything so far points to both UT and OU staying in their conference until the end of the contract, to avoid that penalty.

I think OU and UT were hoping the B12 would implode, thinking that contract would be null and void. Well, that didn't happen. They are adding 4 more teams.

I strongly don’t believe they stay in the big 12 until the end of their contract. They’re going to pay the buyout and go sooner rather than later.

If what was reported was accurate, it would cost them $75-80 millions dollars if they leave before 2025.

I really think they were banking on the collapse of the conference. There is no way they pay that # to get out early.
