He’s beat Bama twice and came into Tiger Stadium and rolled LSU.

LSU has beaten bama
Twice in that time period and we are now on our 3rd coach in the timeframe.

He rolled a LSU team
That started the year with 39 scholarship players………..man tell me

Made the playoffs. Something Kiffin hasn’t done. He’s 37-15 at a program that had 1 winning season in the 4 before he was hired. His offenses are consistently in the top 25, and usually in the top 10 WITHOUT NFL talent.

Would you like me to continue?

People care that the donors are eventually going to get tired of paying these absurd buyouts and LSU will be stuck with a bust coach on a ten year contract. It's a reasonable concern.

LSU still barely goes through coaches compared to a lot of other programs and imagine if they got an elite coach with consistency.

4 coaches in 25 years is pretty special. Alabama had Saban all that while which could have been LSU and they still have had like 7 different coaches during that same time span.

I don't doubt that we will or have spoken to him and potentially offer him a job.

However, can we all not sit back and look at the situation without purple and gold glasses? Ole Miss has given Kiffin the NIL budget he desired and they are a near lock at going to the playoff with their remaining schedule. Why on earth would he leave that situation for LSU when we are late to the NIL party and the Louisiana recruiting due to NIL is no longer the advantage it once was.

Ole Miss is not a better job however, they are in a better situation and therefore it makes zero sense to leave that situation for ours. I don't think enough people are giving that the thought it deserves. Lane might very well leave Ole Miss and go to Florida, Auburn, or LSU but leaving the situation he is in is far more difficult and unlikely than some people want to admit.

That was the working knowlede I was told also. Things obviously changed at some point on Sunday.

If Sloan was supposedly getting fired Saturday night, I would say things changed well "before some point on Sunday." My point is I think people here are relying on people "in the know" who really don't know more than anyone else.
