Because I think Lane has verbally accepted but has told everyone at LSU not to say anything until after the game this weekend. I believe the sources of these 3 have told them the same - therefore - no new news in the last couple of days.

Chicken's calm responses are kind of what keeps me believing. My guess is that there are back channel communications between Chicken and folks who claim to know things. He vets things to some degree and allows stuff that has some backup to it.
Add that to his likely own sources...seems like we are in as good a spot as possible barring some last minute change of heart.
