I mean, a solid career overall.

But, I’m guessing, most money ever made after this buyout? Lol.

5 years ago, 2018, Kevin Sumlin was paid more money than any head coach in football. (A&M buyout and Zona salary)

Normally the buyout has offset language that any other salary from a coaching job reduces payment by the same amount

And now you see what is wrong with college football.

This all started with Bama and their ridiculous offer to Saban out of desperation. It worked bad idiots now pay ridiculous amounts for a freak “amateur” sports competition.

Think about the fact that DiNardo got $500k to come to LSU in 1995. Saban five years later got over $1 million.

And he has no offset. So he could take another job and double dip.

Agreed. The buyouts are obscene. Hard to feel bad about players getting scratch to endorse the local fried chicken joint.

No, this really started with Woodward and Jimbo.

He set the bar for other coaches. "Holy shite, we can ask for $80M guaranteed and these schools will actually give it to us?"
