LSU asked no other school for permission to talk to anyone on their staff. If they had, it would have leaked out. So no formal interviews were held with anyone else besides Ensminger

Pretty sure GTN was never specific about who in his extended family had the info. Then BilJ mockingly deemed it his grandpa, and GTN kind of laughed and went with it... not that it matters.
But I agree with what you said, and whenever I saw a rumor hear that someone interviewed, I knew that could mean anything from:
-He's on a list to potential people to interview.
-Someone reached out to him.
-He had a formal interview.
-He interviewed.
So, sure, GTN's grandpa may have heard there was an interview with Gilbert and it went bad... And I don't think that's too far in left field from TenthTiger saying someone from LSU spoke to him and the conversation didn't go any further when Gilbert said he wanted to bring an assistant. (Apologies to TenthTiger if that wasn't part of your post... hard to remember it all off-hand.)
Not sure why GTN feels the need to challenge Tenth. I appreciated both of them as potential sources.

According to lsu beat writers, gilbert was never interviewed. Briles was never interviewed. Yurcich was never interviewed.

Relax. Gilbert was vetted. This has been confirmed by my BoS and AD guys. My ops guy knew Ed was fighting for E and resisted.
