Explain to me why Jimbo is an upgrade over Miles.

Record? SEC vs ACC?
Offense? It's only half of the game
Titles? Conference Titles?
A caveat could be made that Jimbo won his title behind the arm of an all time great college QB.
Seems to me if we re going to make a change let's go for someone different. Not just another old guy who happened to coach here.

Jimbo is a competent HC. Miles isn't.

Miles was handed a fully loaded program. Jimbo was given a program stuck in the 1990s. He completely overhauled everything, brought in top assistant coaches, and won a national title with a program had given up hope of winning a title any time soon.

Who knows? it's not really relevant. My point is that Jimbo had three losses last year in a much weaker conference. Why is it better to pay him 6 million to lure him away.

Jimbo can develop a QB.
His teams aren't plagued with clock management issues.
He has done better than Miles the last few years without the benefit of having a too notch DC to carry his arse.
He can speak in coherent sentences.
People keep saying this like Jimbo and Miles had ANYTHING to do with defense. Miles has the benefit of having some.of the best DC's in CFB and lets them do their job because his job is to f*ck up the offense. Jimbo would be an automatic upgrade with the defenses Miles has had. IDK how some of you can be this dense.

I haven't. I wanted miles gone. Now he's gone. Who's the best and why. And if you're going for a guy who is going to arguably get paid more than anyone aside from Saban why is that guy Jimbo when his resume is only parallel to equal.

A loss for them is a loss. Whether we would've lost to that same team is irrelevant. How do we know what they would've lost to Wisconsin or Auburn.
Jimbo had one skull fricking loss in the ACC. He lost three times last year.
