Jimbo is only a marginal upgrade.
Les was aggressive in the 1st half, too conservative in the 2nd.

I can't see how people think like this, Jimbo being a marginal upgrade. It was conceded that Les Miles did nothing with the defense and was given resources to attract quality coordinators that put out top 10 units. That would be the same case with Fisher.
Les was left to tinker with the offense and he was historically incompetent on that side of the ball. Jimbo Fisher is historically elite at QB development and play calling. He's basically Les Miles if Les Miles were capable of coordinating an elite offense (so infinitely better).
Recruiting wise, he is better than Miles. LSU will always lock down Louisiana, a state he would recruit seamlessly already knowing the lay of the land, and they'll always have a foothold in TX. Now you can add his knowledge of FL to add another major pipeline, and talent would be elite year in and year out.

Recruits as well as Miles so that is a wash, understands what the word "Offense" means and actually tries to put one on the field. Miles tries to put his defense on the field for both offense and defense.
That is why it would be an upgrade!
