He was the OC at OU and was basically hand picked by stoops to be his successor

Different situation. This is OUs first honest coaching search in like 25 years

They need to hire Heupel. The guy worked a miracle at an absolute dumpster fire Tennessee. Did more with less and they have sanctions coming down.

The way they treated Mikey left some bad blood. OU has to be careful not to Schnellenberger this. I think whoever it is will be someone that has Texas ties and knows OU fan base.
