Well, no I’m not. A lot of you are so easily infatuated with a shiny object that you can see the reality. He is in no way ready for this job.

Bookmarked for when you knight for Golesh who has way less experience and success at the fbs level than Dillingham

It would take a miracle for them to make it to the little 12 championship game.

I was against it at first but he’s young and hungry. Give him the resources and he will have elite talent at LSU. Plus he can bring his stud sophomore QB (he’s been hurt) to LSU and hit the ground running.

Please go back and watch Arizona State vs Texas last year and then come back and give us your honest assessment.

The fight they showed in that game should convince you that he would be a great coach for LSU.

He’s in a rebuild year, in year 3? That makes sense
Must really be great recruiting like it’s said. Or

or could be is at Arizona state and is having to absolutely beg for local restaurants to do NIL deals just to help compete.

the only good seasons Bo nix has in college....yea under him

auburns best recruiting under gus...yea under him. 32 ppg with bo nix as a freshman at auburn

but yea that dude sucks. sucks as a qb coach(thats why he is winning with jeff fricking sims), sucks at finding talent(everyone wanted Skattebo and same leavitt)....sucks against top 25 teams(6-1 against them last 2 years).....dude just sucks

am i doing this right?

Agreed. Dilly has had literally 1 good season as a head coach, in only 3 years. He's not ready for the SEC.

ASU was in shambles when he took over after Herm Edwards. 2 years later his team is one play away from the CFB version of the Final Four. Currently he's 7-3, and has handed Texas Tech its only loss of the season. Is he a "sure thing"? No. But who among the potential candidates is?

If this board was in existence in 1999 many would be furious about the Saban hire.

"He's only had 1 good season in 5 years in the little Ten! He was blown out by Dinardo! I can't believe we are not only hiring this guy, but paying him $1M per season!!!"

34-24
6–5–1, 6–6, 7–5 and 9-2
This guy sucks! One good fricking season in the previous four seasons and the two losses in the good season were absolutely routs.

wait what?

he was 3-9 taking over a team on probation, banned from a bowl and in shambles, then went 11-3 where the regular season losses where by a TD to texas tech, and 10 to cincy. the third was the playoff loss in OT to texas

this year the losses where to state by 4, in a last min miracle, a blowout loss to utah and a td loss to houston the week after losing his QB.

yea that dude never has good seasons

I’m not sure how we are making a hire off one game. Like I said it’s nonsense.

You do know he didn’t call plays at auburn right?
Also Gus was a very good recruiter, players came to play for him.

Lordy some of yall need to use your brains.

He also didn’t call plays at Florida state. He was very good at getting OC gigs with head coaches who called the plays.

yea he sucked....thats why Gus was so good and so was bo nix after he left right

yea norvell was so good...he only had to go hire him back right? and yea his memphis teams didnt improve at all when dillingham was made oc...right?

yea he sucked calling plays with oregon. only took bo nix, who was ran off from auburn for sucking.....and turned him into a heisman contender. only had them averaging 38 ppg in his first season....yea that dude sucks at calling plays

in his 2nd season at Astate only had them avg 33 ppg

but yea dude sucks...1 year wonder right?

GFY!!!

I’m not saying he’s not a good play caller or offensive mind, because he is.
I’m simply reminding you the achievements you posted were not his.

He comes from a good offensive coaching tree - you expect that. It doesn’t change the fact he’s still not ready for this job.

then who is?

because his resume is better than Kiffins up to this point. so who the frick is?

i would rather kiffin but saying he is not ready for this job is dumb AF

he has been an OC at multiple P4 schools...but fine, take away florida state and auburn...what about at oregon?

what about rebuilding arizona state and having them in the playoffs in year 2 while still on probation isnt impressive? what about following it up with a 9-3 season in which he lost his starting QB is not impressive?

what makes you say he isnt ready? because everythign points to he is ready

BK had everythign you claim makes them ready...yet he wasnt ready.

Loud and wrong. Do your hw on how quick he turned around ASU, how he’s winning games despite a depleted roster including his qb and star wr being out. Nearly had his team in position to beat a loaded Texas roster. His resume is not much different than Saban before he got the LSU job. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. He’s a fiery , hungry offensive mind who has the personality to kill it here some of yall are so fricking obsessed with kiffin any one else would be a bad candidate

anyone that doesn't think he is a superstar in the making can frick off

lets see

1) young- only 35
2) elite on 1 side- yep elite OC everywhere
3) elite qb coach- made Bo nix
4) successful coord. stints in P4- yep at auburn, Florida state, Oregon
5) successful HC- yep killing it
6) affordable- yep, only makes total comp of 7.5

Agreed. I'd take a shot on dillingham.
