A) I don't believe Dellenger.

B) I think LSU already has their man.

C) You shouldn't listen to me any more than anyone else, because they know as much as I do... nothing.

Everything I have heard pointed to Napier being a no-go for LSU pretty much from the start. Became pretty apparent last week that if Florida wanted Billy Napier it was going to get him. The timing is weird, but it's just the way of the world right now.

I would’ve been fine with Napier but people acting like we’ve snubbed the actual Saban are ridiculous

Dellinger has been quiet throughout most of this. I think that's because he only moves on information that's solid.

If LSU had pursued Napier we'd have Napier.

Almost no one on this board would want Napier if he coached outside of Louisiana.

This. He’s only has a little stronger resume than Chadwell. He is a close comparison to Napier when you take the regional bias away. Closer than any of the mouth-breathers here will admit.

Why would you believe anything anyone but Woodward says at this point?

Well there’s a large segment that want nothing to do with him because he coaches at ulala. It’s a double edged sword. Woody better have a plan, because throwing stoops or BoB at us is not gonna work.

I have said this SEVERAL TIMES. LSU will regret this....

You only think that because he's shown ULL success it's never seen before.

What you don't understand is that there are places (LSU for example) where that type of success isn't new. And, it was done at the highest level.

Napier may be a great coach. But, what he did at ULL simply isn't enough to show that definitively.

He wasn't even playing the same game as the big boys, man. He wasn't in the show.

He wouldn't be the type of splash hire Woody is known for anyway so it makes sense

At some point Woody needs to concern himself less with making a splash and more with hiring the right person.

They certainly exist but I think it's much a smaller segment. I think he's fine but he's no different than any other similar type name in any other year. Might work out might not.

Hopefully the Napier riders will finally let it go. Foolish or not, Woodward never had any interest in that guy and I don’t really blame him

Agreed but whoever Woody hires will be compared to Napier. If Nap outperforms the ultimate hire and returns Florida to Spurrier/Meyer levels of success that will define Woody’s legacy.

Stoops or BoB would suck but both are still far better resumes than Billy’s

There’s no mini melt from the “oh we’re going to regret this “ crowd had he posted similar numbers at UAB or UCF.

And if SW hired Napier in a week’s time this board would have come absolutely unglued.

I still don’t know what the board wants from Woodward. As has been indicated, whoever the hire is, people are going to lose their shite.

Then you probably shouldn’t believe anything anywhere. Delly is measured and money in his well sourced reports.

Arrogance of LSU boosters who thought they were too good to open up their pockets for shitty little ULLs coach. Guarantee it. Same attitude as this board.

Yes let's make coaching hires based on the feelings of one recruit. Very logical, that's how big money corporate decisions are made.
