^^this is simply the nicest and most honest way to describe this situation. I have to say though, it would’ve been cool to find our next Saban 60 miles to the east of us.

Regardless of who we wire, they will be compared directly to Napier.

Should have. Mistake. Saban was no splash hire.

He's probably at ULLs level so makes sense.

Dude has a popgun arm and looked like shite against a bunch of slow white dudes at Ed white

You expect a player to say something that isn’t positive about a coach? Lol

I wouldn't expect a player who isn't committed to a relevant school to say anything about a coach if he didn't mean it. He's still a high school kid so it doesn't mean that much, but if the coach isn't Aranda then we are almost assuredly ending up with a coach who is significantly worse than Napier.

No, I do not think Campbell or Fickell are remotely realistic.

I still don’t know what the board wants from Woodward.

Well, calling the top tier candidate who doesn't want to leave the state and works an hour away would have been a strong start. If all the rumors are true (Riley played us, Napier wasn't called) this is an incredibly botched hire.

He wouldn't be the type of splash hire Woody is known for anyway so it makes sense.

Question is does Aranda want to come back to LSU? I sure as hell hope so.

For anyone that isn't an LSU fan, Aranda is far from a splash hire. I like Aranda, but he's isn't equivalent to Jimbo in 2017 or Chris Petersen in 2013.

Who says he’s going to start next year
But if we don’t make a good hire he will be at UF

Then you probably shouldn’t believe anything anywhere. Delly is measured and money in his well sourced reports.

Man you're right, and I stand corrected. I'm not in Louisiana and I get your LSU sports writers mixed up sometimes.

I always thought Ross was pretty legit, and I was thinking of Rabalais when I said that. I extend my apologies and a retraction of my statement on Dellenger.
