Would be a good get for Colorado to immediately pump some life into the program and generate some interest

That seems like a terrible option for Deion. That school has no interest in supporting the program like they did during their run in the 80’s and early 90’s.

When you're already at rock bottom, I guess a high-risk hire really isn't all that odd.

They should, at the very least, get an influx of talent, even if he shits the bed overall.

26-5 with a conference championship and playing for another in 3 seasons is high risk?

Would be a home run for CU. They aren't going to get anyone more established and at the very least they'll get talent and it will be entertaining.

1) the NIL era means the bag man days are not a risk anymore

2) he'll hire coordinators to do the coaching

3) he'll be a program ambassador and recruit kids who want to be stars.

Not as big of a risk as it used to be.

I would pursue Jim Leonhard if I were Colorado’s AD.

I’m not against someone hiring him. I think Colorado is down bad enough that an out of the box hire is good.

The problem I see is actually the talent he’s bringing into the swac is far superior to the rest of the conference. Like 5star vs walk ons. Even if he’s able to upgrade the talent at Colorado the teams he faces will not be near as out matched.

Texas A&M is bringing in tons of talent and they are trying to find 80 million dollars to fire the guy

I dont like the fit. Feels like Deion needs to be in the South.

Not really considering Colorado has been shitting the bed for better than a decade. Can't go much lower.

In the SWAC.

There has never been a coach in college football history move from the SWAC to a Power 5 team. Probably not even a G5 team.

I think it's a horrible fit for him. Colorado is a tough job for anyone. He's at risk of killing his reputation and proving that he's not ready. He would be better off taking a G5 job that you can win at than a bottom tier P5 job.

deion preached about his calling from God to lead the HBCUs of the world, and he's gonna up and leave to go to one of the whitest places in the country? yeah right.

That South Florida job seems like it was tailor-made for Coach Prime. He'll snag some good recruits and get a lot of attention for the school. (plus, it's a better gig than Colorado)
