He's been in the NFL for 9 years. Hopefully any contract would include a hefty buyout for jumping back to the NFL within the first 3 years or so.
His recruiting ability would be the other concern.

Richard is def the young shiny exciting pick. Players/Recruits will love him instantly. Hopefully he’ll succeed if given job

really the only coordinators he has hired is matt canada (middle age guy) and then steve (oder guy). He hired that really old guy as the passing coordinator then brady this year who obviously worked out. I dont really see a trend of hiring young guys, seems like brady is more or less the outlier.

People forget this because of how he ended up at Auburn as HC, but he was a top DC before he made the leap to head coach. He also did pretty solid work at UNC considering that Larry Fedora was running that program off a cliff at the time. They had a very impressive turnaround his first year before the bottom fell out.
I doubt he leaves his studio job to go back to the grind at this point, but we’ll see.
