USC pulled a Texas: fire everybody so the head coach can get one more year.

Preferably fire everybody without a contract or big buyout.

Lsu should talk to James Andrew Leonhard from Wisconsin.. He was Aranda's assistant when he was at Wisconsin.. Leonhard only makes 225,000 a year. He could come to LSU and compete for a national championship every year or stay at Wisconsin and play in the rose bowl each year...

The Chiz is an elite DC. Not a good HC, but as a DC he is one of the best.

Some people have a hard time separating the two positions. Being a HC is quite different from being a coordinator.

Cam got them there but Gene's defense won that title holding Oregon to only 19

Very much so, 95th & 63rd in total defense

His defenses while HC at auburn were awful as well (avg around 80th)

For whatever reason, everyone is only focusing on what he did 1998-2004.

I liked Chizik but it makes me a little skeptical when someone has been out of coaching for a while. But I could be talked into it.

Here are his numbers for total defense as a DC

UCF
1998 - 26
1999 - 78
2000 - 28
2001 - 16

Auburn
2002 - 26
2003 - 5
2004 - 5

Texas
2005 - 10
2006 - 22

North Carolina
2015 - 95
2016 - 63

Personally, I call him a good option.

Sometimes you wait for the right job to open up. It’s not like he’s been doing nothing while waiting.

I thought he already got hired as DC at Michigan but someone just informed me it was just as LB coach.

So nvm.

Stop with the retreads.

We all saw what a young coach can do.
