He’s not going to take this. With CU looking at a bunch of accomplished DCs though like Tucker from UGA, Lake from UW and Leavitt I am pretty surprised Aranda’s name hasn’t come up for that, and that seems like the level of job that could be a threat

The thought of that should scare everyone since the presence of Aranda at DC was one of the only selling points of hiring O

If it’s Monty you might as well start picking out HC candidates right meow

Well, this at least lets the fans know that Aranda is entertaining the idea of being a head coach. It's going to take a P5 job offer to match his pay, which may be the only thing that keeps him at LSU for more than a year or two.

This place is going to be fun if we lose Aranda and O names himself DC, like he did at Ole Miss.

You know what, I almost want this to happen just for comedy's sake. LSU's coaching staff would feature Monte Kiffin (78) , Pete Jenkins (77), Jerry Sullivan (74), Steve Ensminger (60), Greg McMahon (58).

1 of 8 candidates doesn’t mean much. I think it would be a good fit for him personnel and geographic wise.

decent job but Aranda can get to where he wants to eventually go(not sure he even is thinking about leaving) better at LSU versus Utah State. IF LSU wins a championship with him as DC, he will have his pick of the litter of Power 5 jobs.

Or he could bet on himself, take a pay cut to go to a place like Utah State for a couple of years, perform well, then get a big time job.

Damn would the buyout be higher or the life insurance premiums?

For LSU to win a championship with Aranda as DC, it would require a new head coach, which would mean it could happen 2020 at the earliest. Also would mean that the new HC kept Aranda on and that Aranda wanted to stay. Doesn't seem likely.

LSU could probably take a salary offset for the amounts they receive in social security and Medicare.

That's what Mike D has been rambling on about all year. Says that Dave personally told him he'd take the right job.
