He’s a heisman trophy winning talent. so is Tebow. How often do those guys come around? If you don’t have one of those guys, have you failed? My goodness.

So everyone knew Manziel was a Heisman winning talent when he was 3-star coming out of high school, redshirted, then was in a QB battle from Spring through Fall camp?

Or was that after he won the Heisman?

can this be replicated by the current regime? if aranda leaves?

O's offensive hires are probably indication that hiring just isn't his strong suit.

Everyone misses on him, that happens. He is the exception. not the rule to a year one Qb lighiting it up.

#2.

I'll be expecting Orgeron to deliver a conference championship next year.

You still don't seem to be grasping the point. Inexperience isn't an excuse for having an offense ranked in the 100s for much of the season.

There's a huge middle ground between "lighting it up" to a Heisman level and having moribund productivity.

Don’t count on it. But I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised by a one loss playoff appearance.

Chances that O ever gets to play for the title with a two loss team are pretty low you gotta admit.

Well, play for a title with zero losses like the horrible coach Les did.

He did, yes. But that was not the same guy that got run outta here after losing 10 conf games in theee seasons now was it?? If miles was still that guy he would certainly still be here.

Same guy.

You're just talking out of your arse right now.

Most every program out there goes through ebbs and flows. Just because a coach with good results has a down year or two doesn't mean he's not the same coach.

Did you adjust for strength of schedule?

we play in the SEC. the offense was much much higher than the 100s when you adjust for the defenses. Much higher

So spewing your dumbassery on the recruiting board isn’t enough so you bring it here? We get it, you hate Coach O.

A head coach starts to make more bad decisions than he did when his program was at his peak. The program falls off. that’s miles. He started to press the wrong button at a higher rate than he didn’t earlier in his career. So many times that he got run out of town. He was not the ‘same guy’. He was making worse decisions. And the program fell off.

58th?

Someone get Ensminger a God damned raise.

I'm not sure who's saying it's in the 100's because LSU's offense is in the 70's for total and 40's for scoring.

Looks like the efficiency rating has them right about where those do.

You're mudding up the discussion by introducing assertions that cannot be proven one way or the other. How you think Les Miles has changed as a person is completely irrelevant to this conversation, and it's not going to help Orgeron one bit if he can't elevate LSU past their current level.

I am willing to run it back with the staff on offense to see how burrow looks with a year under his belt. Adding emery. And being in yr 2 with the 2 5 star wideouts. like I said if we lose 4 it’s time for O to go. But I can’t see but 2 losses MAX next season... not counting the bowl or playoff.

Improvement in all facets is an absolute must. I think the concepts were solid, but the execution and situational playcalling were both awful.

The ultra-conservative approach we saw for most of the season needs to be a dealbreaker at this point. I'm sick of the "don't lose it" mentality on offense. Miles started it and Orgeron has actually retreated even further down that rabbit hole.
