With O’s background, wouldn’t he just call Pendergast?

It’s more about his name getting floated around than the actual job. Although he does have connections there so I wouldn’t completely rule it out

Utah St isn’t a bad spring board job to cut your teeth as a HC. I’d probably prefer it over a P5 job at a bad school.

yeah much better shot to make noise at a USU than a, say, Colorado or hell even UNC

or think about those middle Atlantic ACC programs...NCState, Maryland, UVA have killed many a rising career

Absolutely.

Those low P5 jobs are potential death sentences.

Better to go to G5, win big there and completely skip the middling P5 step.

Also if you do have an ounce of success, get the frick out of dodge. You’re not actually building something there and when it goes back to its natural place, they will fire you. I’m looking at you Derek mason.....run away

Admittedly he fricked up and trusted his dc to be able to stop aggie from driving 80 yards in a minute w no timeouts. Lesson learned. The Irish burned him too.

But we haven’t seen the blatant misuse of timeouts and late game snafu that we saw with miles.

If Aranda leaves, look no further than Mississippi to grab MSUs DC. Offer him what he needs to get here.

As attractive as LSU May be, I’m not sure the best are going to want to come work under O.

Of course money helps, but I’m still not sure it’s this easy.
