Wait so how is the Belowpar guy so 100% sure, and why does everyone believe him before the media even knows anything about this?

1. his track record of being correct
2. he is obviously the closest person to the actual situation on this board
3. his track record of being correct
4. his track record of being correct
5. he doesn't post bullshite rumors

and how exactly is his run first spread option going to work with Mett?

i may not be remembering correctly, but wasn't Shaun King a drop back passer when Tulane went undefeated with RR as OC?

King's stats while at Tulane:
1997: 199/363 (54.8%) for 2577 yards and 24 TD vs. 14 INT. 124 carries for 511 yards and 5 TD.
1998: 244/364 (67.0%) for 3495 yards and 38 TD vs. 6 INT. 156 carries for 633 yards and 11 TD.

Very happy to hear that Harisin was contacted and a serious possibility. It means Miles is not thinking small. My bet would be that Krags is the fallback position and he is aiming way higher.

My preference would be:

1. The guy from Wisconsin
2. The OC from Stanford

Outside of that I make a call to Ralph Friedgen and RichRod.

Friedgen is good with QBs and I think Les would work well with.

RichRod would be interesting in that he is EXTREMELY DYNAMIC...but would be a bit of a change in philosophy for us.

In 2012, the scholarship quarterbacks we will have are Mettenberger, Rivers, and maybe 1 or 2 from the 2012 signing class. Rich Rod's offense requires that a quarterback run the ball regularly. This will not be happening with Mett/Rivers in the program as the only 2 quarterback options.

Just my opinion

BP doesn't predict often, but when he does, he has been 100% spot on! He evidently has some crazy good sources because he seems to always know the truth behind the rumors. Over time, he has won over the board and most everyone has alot of respect for and faith in what he says. Tough to accomplish on a message board, but he continues to deliver.

Forget Rich Rod, please. LSU must be thinking much bigger (i.e. someone currently employeed).

Besides, you have to look at the complete story with Rich Rod, not just cherry pick the stats from his best years.

First two years at WV?
1. Brad Lewis: 135-237 (57.0%) 1339 yds. 7 TDs - 9 INTs.
2. Rasheed Marshall: 139-259 (53.7%) 1616 yds. 9 TDs - 5 INTs.

First two years at Michigan....oh nevermind. Stats not neccessary. You must get the picture by now.

Rich Rod offense requires a transition phase and that is the last thing we need for this "damn strong" football team in 2011.

He'd be a improvement over Crowton but I think the concerns about his pass game are legit. Also, he has dominated the Big Ten. Watching that bowl game it looked like nobody ever blitzed his line...

Either way, I'd take him...
