Bingo. That's why he's a great OC the 1st year or two in a program, but it's downhill after that....at every gig he's been at. Lack of developing QBs is the explanation that makes the most sense. That and watching our QBs struggle for the past 3 years.

If we do not give the OC at Houston at least a look, we have failed at finding the best candidate. This guys offense was 23rd n the nation this past year, 1st in 2009, 3rd in 2008, and 4th in 2007. Explosive with mediocre talent. Imagine if this guy had the horses we have here.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about.

I don't know if RichRod would be a good fit unless he can get rid of his prima donna attitude and take direction for Les. I would imagine it would be tough after being the head guy for so long. With that said, he had some great offenses at Clemson as their coordinator. And, who knows, we rattle off a couple National Titles with him as OC, he might get another look from a major university. With that said, we all know what kind of guy Leach is. I don't think he could be an assistant at all because dude is borderline commitable.

better off letting Ensminger work with the QB's and BG call the plays

I would like this, but at least Krag does have a history of being successful with some quarterbacks in his day. The proof will have to be in the pudding with BG being at the helm and calling plays, though.

Something tells me BG won't be here too long if he has a boatload of success in '11 and '12.

Very happy to have Ensminger on staff, though

Miles wanted Gary gone last year.

AD didn't want to pay buyout.

UM fired RRod

Miles used that opening to strong-arm AD to get rid of Gary.
This.

While I do pity that he has had so little to work with the last two years with the QBs, I still think he was really crazy with his play calling at times. I am not just talking about predictable plays/formations, etc either. There were several times that I had seen plays work great with certain players in the first half, yet they never run the play again in the second half.

something tells me RR is freakin' *hungry* to show the country what he can still do. I have a feeling he and Miles would get along at least as well as Miles/Crowton.

But, no, he's not my top choice.

Get Holgerson in here and convince him to be a head-coach-it's-gonna-be-a-long-wait-ing.

This is part of it but Gary doesn't seem to call plays with any continuity either. Like a grab bag.

Crowton was also responsible for the Tenn fiasco. I know that Miles is ultimately responsible, but making those substitution changes at that time was unbelievable.

He has been an offensive coordinator in Louisiana before, and his team (Tulane) went undefeated. Maybe a return to the place where it all began might be good for him.

Billy Gonzales is getting promoted,....I am calling it now,.....he is in-line with Miles, Wilson, Stud, Ensimgr, ....it will be Miles offense, same as Cotton Bowl, Miles will still be in control

I have a source and Billy G is the new OC
