Could the board approve Hugh Freeze Co OC with the restriction

He would not recruit right now because of the stuff at Ole Miss just strictly coach the offense.

Hugh Freeze is not restricted in recruiting by any governing body. If LSU were to restrict him that would be 100% LSU's doing, not the NCAA or any law enforcement.
Hugh Freeze can even be a HC, he just can't coach the first 2 games of the season. He can be an assistant coach without any restrictions at all.

This, and personally anything he did wrong in recruiting he probably learned from O, and our board had no problem hiring him.

he has a one year show cause (as HC only) as well as the two game suspension.
so while technically he can be a hc this year, it would have to be approved by NCAA first, then sit out games 1 and 2.

I know he can recruit now , but for the PR and image standpoint so no immediate Negative recruiting right away let him step away for awhile ease him back in

If he really loves LSU he would decline it. That would force them take a chance on an actual and good OC. The problem is that they’re afraid of breaking up the good ole boy network, and any OC worth a shite will want to, I don’t know, actually run his own offense. Ensminger doesn’t really have an offense, he hasn’t implemented his own in 20 years so O can tell him what he wants and Steve will ask him “How High?”s

LSU is so stupid to not hire Freeze/Briles, it's amazing you set the standard with an embattled AD with a blemish on his resume, but hold yourself to a higher standard with a coordinator. Give me a break
