I won't add anything right now but the situation is very fluid...more moving pieces than normal for a process to replace coaches, which has caused delays. A second source has told me that CR very much in play but "so many moving pieces right now".
We shall see!

So rare for the cluckster to go out in a limb like this and then it not happen.
Makes me wonder what’s going on behind the scenes.
Could be politics. Raymond wants the job and is doing everything he can, while CBK wants to wait and see if there are better options.

“In play” is not the same as “will be”. So we still will be playing the waiting game.

Wish they could pay Al Harris from the Cowboys enough to come be the DB coach. But I know that’s a pipe dream hire.

I remember CR not being a fan of a split defensive back room but BK always has a CB and safety coach. I wonder what the situation is.

Was your original source peej? Did he guarantee it? I don’t want CR and am looking for reasons to be optimistic.

This board has convinced me that Karl Scott is the savior of our secondary, so hopefully he's one of those moving pieces.

Agree 100%
Karl Scott is the answer to our prayers!
Please CBK, MAKE IT HAPPEN!

I smell Alabama in the mix…

We're on to Karl Scott now. Give me Karl Scott rumors.

Ole C-Ray already leveraging a raise by threatening to go to Alabama.

I don't feel like tracking down all the Scott rumors, but is there a legit feeling he wants to get back in the college game or is this wishful thinking simply because Carroll was fired?

Again, if that is what CBK and CBB want, that is fine with me.
But it just doesn’t seem that CR as DB coach or not should be that big a deal where there are “so many moving parts” and a “fluid situation.”
I mean, if it’s not him, no biggie. There are plenty other good secondary coaches out there.

“The situation is very fluid.”
