This kind of thing is far more likely.

"Hey kid...write up a Lane Kiffin Goes. to LSU story so we have it ready to post anytime this week if news breaks"

"Hey...did you save that story or post it! Crap...take it down!!!"

The only thing you can depend on from the Reveille is that when we hire a coach there will be a letter to the editor stating that it’s embarrassing how much we are spending on a football coach when we could be spending it on academics and turning tiger stadium into a planetarium

this is very accurate. I've seen their back end system for writing up things and posting/saving their stuff, and the Save button is directly next to the Publish button, so I believe this happens all the time from simple fat-fingering. Happens more with the older writers, unsurprisingly.

They need to add a confirmation popup… it is almost 2026. How old is that code?
