I thought the interesting thing he revealed was that someone had pulled him to the side before the Auburn game and told him Les would be fired the next time he lost and that Ed would be the interim.

and coincidentally decided that the same year the courts gave his ex-wfe half his money and the buyout checks quit coming in.
I just don’t really understand why it matters. Maybe he needs money, maybe he doesn’t, maybe he just wants to coach again. Does it really matter?
Does him taking 4 years off not show you anything?
Don't most coaches take off a year maybe 2.
What if his wife didn't win the ruling in the divorce? Would he have even wanted to coach? Not likely. Thats the point. There are better, younger d line coaches out there that didn't destroy lsu on the way out.

Poor O has no idea that he’s on these type of podcasts as a cheap laugh. He is viewed as a cartoon. The hosts will give a patronizing “we love your stories, man!” but any reasonable person can see through it. O is desperate to get back to relevancy so he doesn’t mind the circuit.
I cringed at the part of the Burrow story where he says “If I don’t get you, they’re going to fire me.”
Also, Alleva had absolutely zero spine. Essentially allowed himself to be bullied into just handing O the job. Complete pushover.

Yep! He is doing the same thing that he did several years ago. When he got on baton rouge, radio every week and begged for a job.
I don't live in louisiana, but I think he is an embarrassment, and the reason why he is on these shows because the way he talks and presents himself. .
I think this makes the state look bad and makes him stereotype. All the people from louisiana
what kind of insecurities do you have? If you look at the comments on the podcasts everyone loves him

Im still waiting to know which Wednesday he was referring to....

He seems desperate tbh
O holding out his poor man's cup asking for donations.
This seems like the same logic OM fans had about Lane and being on College Gameday.
-Announced he would be on Gameday: "Lane is just doing whatever he can to make this about him"
-Announced he wont be on Gameday: "He got word that it wouldnt just be layup questions so be bailed".
O talks about going back to doing what he has done his entire adult life and then it becomes "he's desperate to get back into coaching"....

It amazes me that we have posters on this board that believe LSU can just throw money at kids and that is all there is to recruiting now. You still have to make a connection with a kid as well as a coach needing to evaluate whether or not their talent meets criteria to know if they will be a PITA and not worth paying.
Its the same way in sales. When I come across people that instantly want to talk price and then only care about if its cheaper than what they are paying, I dont consider them a true customer bc I know they will probably jump at the next lower offer. Recruits that ONLY care about money are the ones that will jump at the next higher offer even if its a worse opportunity in the long-run.

Coach O went hard on retired life without thinking about the consequences. It is like he took his whole shirtless and loud persona and added drunk to the equation, then turned the dial up. Like has become a caricature of himself and what people think and expect of him
The internet is forever, videos of you drunk and ripping your shirt off at a wedding are forever, snapchat selfies with naked blonde bimbos in your bed are forever Hard to believe a serious school looking for a serious candidate would consider him
I honestly think the only major program he would make sense at is here, because he is pretty much how the media and entire country view us anyway. That being said, I'd prefer a more serious, younger candidate as DL coach
