Sounds like the perfect fit for LSU and the SEC:
quote:
Dartmouth football coach Buddy Teevens makes a promise to recruited players before they take the field: "In four years, you will never tackle another Dartmouth football player." Teevens, a former Dartmouth player who has coached at the Ivy League school for 15 years, has eliminated all live tackling from practices, including spring and preseason. He told Congress Friday the result has been far fewer concussions, less practice time missed due to injury — and wins.

And former OC at Illinois.
Seems like a good choice to continue the offensive traditions.
In 1997, the Illini scored 119 points and reached the 20 mark twice, peaking at 22 points.
1998, they scored 149 points despite being shut out twice, and scored over 20 twice (but one in the 40s and another in the 30s).

I'd say the real question is where the frick is he? He posts a question with no link, no snippet of info and disappears. WTF

Look at his offensive numbers with Shaun King in 96 as compared to the same team in 97 with Rich Rodriguez. Anyone in a major conference who hires Buddy to be an OC should be Shot, then fired post mortem. I watched 5 years of his offenses and pray I never have to see another one. Can’t Beat the System.

There's been a lot of bad Pac12 coaches, but I dare say Buddy was the worst.
You certainly cannot argue with "The Buddy System".

Why is there an assumption y'all are in the market?
Serious question. I haven't seen anything hinting y'all are searching.

Has to do with the fact our offense was pretty bad this season under a guy who has a short contract and never wanted the job to begin with.

He was unfathomably awful as HC at Tulane. The most poorly coached team they’ve ever had, which is saying something. Tommy Bowden and Rich Rod took the same 2-9 team from 1996 to 7-4 in 1997 and 12-0 in 1998. He then coached at Stanford for 3 years and was putrid, eventually replaced with Harbaugh.
Please say it’s a joke.

I had no idea he was with Spurrier during his final 4 years at Florida (99-02)
