He's an arse...everyone knows it. So is Nick Saban. Was even blamed by some for killing a guy. Not sure what to think about that.

My only concern with Kelly is can he recruit at an elite level here. He’s been consistently top 15 at ND, but that’s probably been his undoing in the postseason.

If you can recruit and field competitive teams at Notre Dame where academics are far more stringent and geography sucks, I would like to think you could do just fine at LSU.

Kelly has had some good QB play under him too. I get that he's not the sexy Riley hire, but would not be a terrible move. There are no sure fire coaches out there, so would be a great hire IMO.

Take O out of your head as the coach we are replacing, and pretend it’s Miles......I would take ANYBODY. So. I guess I like this guy.

I would be happy.

Good news that needs to settle everyone down,

We are almost guaranteed to have a better head coach and staff than the one being replaced.

- Had his guy since day 1 and would have been hired already baring Kelly makes CFP (which would cause us to have to wait even longer which would be tough on the recruiting end)

So, LSU is going to wait till 2022?

Do you understand how hard the acceptance is at ND? And he still recruits at an insanely high level. Have you ever seen his players in the news for bullshite?

While I agree, we just had what would be deemed as a perfect cultural fit not work out so well.

There is no way Norte dame will be 100 percent out of it tomorrow. Michigan, cinci, Oklahoma State, and Bama (they do not pass any kind of eyeball test thus year) all go behind Norte dame if they lose. Baylor nor Houston can jump them.

Kelly is an accomplished coach. But there is no way he was the hire from day one. Football scoop - which is reporting the Kelly situation - also reports that LSU pursued Riley and lost him to USC.
