Exactly. I remember when they were searching for a coach and it was said that ND was no longer a premier job and fans should temper expectations as you can’t win at ND any longer. Well the man is 43-8 (0.843) over the last 4 season all 10+ winning seasons and 107-40 (0.728). He went to a place that everybody said you can’t win at and won.

Mark Stoops has shown more tactical coaching ability than him and really Kelly for that matter. losses at UK in that division and this conference is worth 2-3 wins in others…

BK wasn't the sexy hire everyone wanted. On the surface, almost everyone, including myself, had their reservations about a 60-year-old coach that hadn't made it over the hump to win a natty. Once everyone actually considered the facts and looked at his entire resume of what he accomplished compared to what was at his disposal, it's easy to get excited about the hire. BK doesn't need the extra $. He could have stayed at ND and retired rich as shite in that house he had just built. Instead, he uprooted his life to take a big challenge to run a program that he could win that natty. It's pretty ballsy and shows a lot about him. That is information that wasn't considered when this thread first started and everyone shite on him.

This thread is great. It shows in stark detail that most posters here don’t have a clue about what they are fricking posting about. Just throwing shite and speculation out there. And that includes yours truly. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by the support that the OP got for hiring Kelly.
