I picked BK on the pick the coach thread. He fits Woody’s target to a T. Under paid. Under appreciated. Very successful at a high level. Hungry for a NC. In a situation where he will likely never have a real chance to win one due to Notre Dame’s academic requirements. They waived them for Lou, but won’t for Kelley.

Idk, ND is a well coached team, I just wouldn’t be confident he could recruit head to head with the guys down the road.

ND has admission standards that half the LSU team likely wouldn't pass.

He'd recruit fine at LSU.

Hello. Speaking the truth.

Kelly and first rate assistant coaches will recruit like crazy. Kids love LSU. But they want to play for a consistent winner.

Coach Brian Kelly will get the players to LSU.

Kelly is the guy I want most. I think he would be Saban 2.0 at LSU. He checks all of the boxes that Nick checked back in 2000 when he came aboard.

High level program manager

Reputation for being an insufferable a-hole who sweats all of the details

Good X's and O's -- fields disciplined teams that execute at a high level

Good recruiter -- would be an elite recruiter at LSU, given the built-in advantages in Baton Rouge

Proven track record of success at all prior stops, with LSU giving him his first real shot at competing for a National Title

Definitely not a budget hire, but definitely not the highest price guy out there

Let's go Woodward. Make it happen.

Would be an excellent hire. Very little doubt Kelly would win big at LSU.

Kelly has won everywhere he's gone. I have to think a person with his personality and drive would see the writing on the wall that his time is running thin, ND doesn't have the athletes to win the playoffs, and that Ed O and Les Miles won it all at LSU. If he wants to win a ring then jumping to LSU this year at his age and with the talent we have is his best shot. If I were him it'd be a no brainer. And from the perspective of an LSU fan I would be thrilled.

Just the opposite.

Scott Woodward would get out of his way and let Kelly run his program the Kelly way.

The AD & TAF would supply all the monies and resources Kelly wants. Also, give Kelly the green light to clean house and bring in his staff and coaches.

Excellent fit.

Y’all are crazy to think Kelly wouldn’t do great at LSU. LSU would be in the playoff talks every year

I’m just not sure what separates notre dame and LSU here.

He’s a great coach I just don’t see his personality fitting the fans or the players

He’s the all time winningest coach in Notre Dame history. The man has tenure there. Y’all need to temper your expectations just a bit.
