Uh. You really think we recruited Connor Weigman from Cypress, TX that hard, when LSU legacy and the top QB in the class was 50 miles down the road? Also, Eli Holstein was highly unlikely to come to LSU after Howard committed here.
I mean we offered both. Weigman was always an MLB draft risk before he committed, but he has since given up baseball.
Jimbo is an upgrade over what we currently have coaching QBs

I'll never forget his trademark 3 QB sneaks in a row play calls too
I was on the Jimbo pain train before we hired Orgeron but now I've come to my senses he's way overrated. I've watched TAMU enough to realize this.

Offering is a lot different than "we recruited them hard and they turned us down"

No kidding. This isn't saying much though, is it?

I heard many aggies say he will play baseball at arse&m. I am wondering how that is possible.

Does Jimbo still call a bubble screen?

Yup in a weak conference. A super weak conference at that. Partly why he jumped ship after his final horrible season there. He had a lot of strife among the fans getting tired of his shite, the wife stuff, and the admin/boosters getting tired of him too. They maintained the shambles he left them in. When the next guy came in he had a mess to clean up especially on disciplinary issues. Jimbo left them in that state.
His QB got hurt in the opener and Administration wouldn’t upgrade Facilities. If you look at it, They Screwed Jimbo over so he Payed them back in Return.

I don't want Jimbo and his dysfunctional antiquated offense anywhere near the LSU campus. I mean having to put up with Les Miles for so many years was all the boredom I could stand. I don't need Jimbo to make me even more bored.

I can only think about all those Jimbo offenses at LSU
That was 16 years ago. He ran what Saban told him to run. Saban didn't want his defenses gassed. You remember Saban, right? The guy who had to hire Kiffin to get him caught up on the new offenses.

I don’t know, but I really don’t look forward to Jimbo’s overly complicated and clunky/sporadic pro-style offense.
He won’t get back to the top, whether here or at A&M, until he turns over the offense. He’s certainly not a Les miles dinosaur on offense, but he’s stubborn and stuck in his ways and will probably never simplify to fit today’s game and players.
From a program management standpoint, I think he’d do great, I just hope he finally realizes that he needs to let someone else run the offense.
This was a Jimbo Fisher quote about his offense:
The above statement from Jimbo was made in the year 2017, straight from the horse’s mouth.
If Jimbo is the hire, our offense will certainly be better than the 2021 LSU offense, which has no identity whatsoever, but I guarantee you at some point we will be begging him to hire an OC, just as many A&M fans are already doing. The Bama win quieted it for now, but if he stays there they’ll soon be saying the same things they were saying leading up to the Bama win. Because his offense is just too complicated and sporadic.

But as far as the offense overall, Fisher says he's been running the same offense since he started coaching.
"It’s the same offense that I’ve ran since 1993 or 1994," Fisher said.

Jimbo has one of the best resumes in the country among active coaches, whether you want to admit it or not.
Jimbo has a great resume and can recruit but do you like his offenses now.
I don't like his old school offense. You can forget about any joe brady schemes with 3 and 4 wide.

He will soon be 3-1 over your great Coach O.

And under Les Miles. His offenses still put up huge yards and little points. Go look at the stats of the past few seasons

If it is Jimbo I hope it leaks the Friday before the game

Wait a second I thought Matt Rhule was the name for the day on Thursday.
Now it seems Jimbo climbed into the spot late in the day.
Please no Jimbo. To coerce him to leave, it is going to cost a whole lot of money. His contract will need to higher than the A&M and the buyout for him and CEO is way too much money.
I would do it for Saban but that's it. Oh well I'm not paying for it but it is way too much money for Jimbo.
I think with a great QB his offense can be pretty good. He will need a strong DC.

Seriously....there is no buyout for Jimbo?
THanks for the info.....I didn't know this.
Crap, now I"m worried it might be Jimbo. I was for sure, thinking it wouldn't be him because of another buyout, and the money isn't going to be much better.

Jimbo would win consistently at LSU and would win a NC within 5 years. All the coaches in play have their positives and negatives, even Saban (age).
There are about 4 or 5 coaches LSU could hire that I'd be optimistic about. Fisher is one of them. There are many more coaches they could hire that I would not be.
