But there’s still time for it to fall apart.

What do you mean by that?

Just read Texags, the majority of their posters think A&M is one of the top 5 jobs in the country.

Freak that. When Jimbo stood us up at the altar he made it so that he will NEVER coach at LSU ever.

When the hell did people start trying to make this the narrative of what happened? Absolutely everything said previously was the LSU administration nixed it.

A&M runs a full spread offense. How specifically is it outdated?

Unless they have something in writing, there’s always time for something to fall through. But maybe they do.

I don't think I can bring myself to do that, I'll take your word for it.

I’m not ecstatic with Jimbo, but we could do a lot worse. I’ve long said that he needs to modernize his offense. However, he’s much better than the last two guys that have been here, locks down one side of the ball, and is a proven recruiter.

People are going to melt at first glance, but when reality sets in, they’re going to realize there are major benefits to doing this.

I’m not sure what they’re watching, maybe it’s because they’re run heavy? They have 2 stud RB’s, Jimbo would be stupid not to run it. He made Mond a decent QB and got him drafted. He just beat Bama with essentially a fricking walk on QB. He has the #1 QB in Tx committed for next year, and Holstein committed for ‘23. To say it’s outdated is a stretch. They spread it out and RPO. Plus they can get a fricking play called before the clock expires.

Agreed, he's not by any means my first choice, but he's more than capable of winning one or more Nattys here, in my opinion.

Most people who attacked Jimbos offense were trolling aTm fans. me included

So we’re going to have to look past that and move on.

Calzada was a high 3* top 20 QB.

Also, who's fault is it that Calzada was the second best QB on the roster?

Even A&M fans will admit that Jimbo has done a shitty job recruiting and developing quarterbacks over there.

Most would be happy we'd bail them out of the Jimbo mistake.

No saying this should ever help dictate a coaching hire. But Jimbo probably gets you Holstein. Thats Walker Howard '22, Holstein '23...not bad
