Obviously people above the President, Pittman and the AD want Petrino back. I'm talking money folks. The vetting talk is pure BS. Petrino has the job and will be the next head coach there.

Mike Irwin says it's not happening, so it must be a done deal. congrats arkansas fans!

I checked on the Petrino possibility this morning and was told flat out that it was impossible. I tweeted that. I now believe I was intentionally steered away from him because it was too early the process and nobody involved wanted it to get out. As often happens it comes out nationally.

The funniest part about the statement is how they’re “vetting him”. I’m pretty sure y’all motherfrickers own the whole file on that one

I'm under no illusions about big time college football, but my God. They fired the guy for cause a few years ago. You think the dean of the Arkansas law school would be hired back if he got canned for screwing an employee and lying about it? That's something where the school president needs to jump in, no matter how mad the boosters and AD get.

I now have very good reason to believe Bobby Petrino will be the new Arkansas offensive coordinator. Nothing signed yet I'm told, but the deal is in the works. #wps

I read that as Irwin saying he thinks it may be in the works but that he was intentionally steered away from it.

That’s how the president would end up losing funding

Got to give it up to the AD. He found a way to rile up the rubes and raise the money he'll need to pay buyouts next season...brilliant

Indeed and when we look at it, what Bobby Petrino did was much worse than the accused crime of William Wade.

Hopefully fat woody can be a reasonable AD see that forgiveness should happen and bring back a winner

I just don’t see how a former head coach with questionable ethics could return to a school he used to run as an assistant and it all work out.
