Why don't you take a gander at Herman's resume? He was actually a super coordinator and is now winning at a high level at Houston. Coach O has never even been a coordinator.

Because we're hiring a coach for next year. We already have a coach this year.

I don't care if he beats Ole miss 50-0. He should not be the next head coach.

And I LOVE ed O.

Ole Miss was a strong win for Alabama. Why wouldn't it be for LSU?
bama won that game 48-43. ark beat them 34-30.

if we somehow blow Ole Miss out, that should be a pretty big deal.

there are NO guarantees. its like recruiting. we're judging coaches on past performance and potential.

I didn't get it originally, but this is the true. People were to the point of just wanting improvement. Now that they've got it, it tastes so good, and they are content.

i just had thought we wanted excellence.

We do want excellence. That's why the O detractors need to relax and wait for him to lose the games you think he will lose. Then you can be happy.

If he loses 2 games, he will not have much support. Even from me, a huge O supporter, will no longer argue for him to have the job if he loses 2 games.

Less than 2 losses though, and it'll depend on a lot of factors for me.

I just can't jump ship on a guy should he win out and win the SEC this year. The dude has been given a job interview. If he passes it with flying colors, I can't imagine him not getting the job.

If there are more qualified options that are interested they should get the job. Everyone has their own interpretation of what "qualified" means though.

meh. Ole Mess lost to Bama, and it could be argued they lost some of their edge after that, just like LSU has been prone to do.

The only impressive thing about us beating Ole Mess handily is that it'd mean Aranda >>>> Freeze/Swag. And we could have already proven that with Miles as the HC. Yes, I expect our offense to score points, more than if Miles was still here, but my point is that YawYaw should only get so much credit if we win by multiple scores.

So what you're saying is if LSU beats Ole Miss, it won't be as good as BAMA's win because BAMA had beat them already?

With the talent on this LSU team, they should win out. Period. If he can't get them to do that, he doesn't need to be the HC.

We "SHOULD" beat the #1 team that has better talent than us as well as a top 10 team on the road? Are you insane?

Yeah, he's an accomplished line coach and recruiter, and a terrible to below average head coach based on his resume.

The guy Orgeron took over for was decent. Certainly much better than Orgeron.

Bama having better talent than us is very debatable and its in Death Valley. No reason we can't beat Arky. Hey, this WAS the year. Remember? Everything was lined up. Veteran team, talent out the arse, CFB playoff, etc. Now, all of the sudden because people want Coach O, STEP ON THE BREAKS. Whatever.

In Fayetteville, that's ridiculous. I would never bet against LSU, but damn.
