Sure anything COULD happen which is why we could argue semantics all day long.

biggest RISKS, perhaps.

Look...its ALL speculation...doesn't mean it isn't possible.
BG has been on Urbans offensive staff for a long time. He very well could have been named there OC this year as much as the guy they promoted. Very likely he is very qualified for this position if he is going to be OC. I would assume he is higly qualified to be an SEC OC...he certainly knows the job...he certainly knows the spread O offense.
The Tyke/BG wait till after the season and then make the change thing would certainly make since in terms of the timing involved and why BG would make what looks like a lateral move.
I am waiting to see what Belowpar says about it.
Otherwise it is certainly interesting to theorize.
How would we feel about an offensive staff that looks like:
Gonzales - OC
Tyke - WR
Wilson - RB
??? - OL
Yanakowsky - TE
Or perhaps...and personally what i would like to see:
Gonzales: OC
Tyke: WR
Wilson: RB
MILES: OL
???: QB COACH
Yanakowsky: TE
The question would be if there is a major difference in coaching OL in a spread option offense.

and I'd rather Miles coach TEs, Yano get an admin position (isn't that what they did with Earl Lane?), and get a new OL coach.

Miles will not coach the OL. Where does the Don figure in this. A QB coach is more valuable than a TE coach. If Miles ( which I doubt ) coaches any position, it would be TE's and the Don may be out. Could Tyke be the OC and Billy the WR coach?

Anyone seen any chatter on the UF boards? What's their take? How do they feel about BG?

Works for me...I dont know any specifics on Yanokowsky at all...just know he is the TE right now.
Miles coaching TEs is fine with me...just trying to find a spot for a QB coach.

one board trying to imply Gonzales was at the party that the dline guy was at when he got the DUI. Doubt this is true, just passing on their rumor.

He was behind the Grassy Knoll.
Now THAT rumor has appeared on an interweb board.
Are we gonna hire a guy that assassinated a president????

no fricking way
I have to agree on this one...no one wants that guy...miles has to fire him to get rid of him...

Muschamp was a young LB coach when Saban promoted him to DC.
Wasn't Smart a DB Coach when Saban promoted him to DC?
Of course they were both taught by Saban.

Urban Meyer was at one time the WR coach of GB......Just saying, promotions do happen.

I know for a fact this is not true. Not saying he'll get a HC gig, but Crowton would have no problems finding a decent OC gig.

quote:people here are slow as shite, BG is not gonna be OC here and Tolbert isn't coming. Get it through your head. No way does Miles put the OC pos. in the hands of someone w/ no experience. He learned the hard way from '08.
