Best case, worst case, most likely scenarios as to how Jimbo at A&M plays out

Best case would be matching what he has done at FSU: 83-23, 3 SEC titles and an NC every 8 years for 16 years to 20 years. Aggy nation rejoices.
Worst case would be Jimbo truly has has lost a bit of his fire and cashing in big exacerbates that, he comes to A&M and finds the sledding tougher than he expected and never gets out of first gear despite recruiting well. He does a little better than Sumlin but is basically a 7 to 9 win coach and leaves or is terminated after 5 or 6 years.
Most likely is that he improves A&M but isn't quite able to get them over the hump, he probably doesn't find another Winston but brings A&M to respectability and even a few trips to Atlanta which result in losses. He stays there 8-10 years before burnout sets in. Is considered successful but didn't quite match the hype.

20 more years until a7m beats LSU!

Nah Jimbo will beat us at least once

I’m 99.9999999% sure Jimbo is going to A&M, but I wonder that if the deal isn’t signed and official by Sunday and say Auburn lost to UGA which led to Gus going to Arky....would Auburn try and swoop in for Jimbo? Sexton could use that as even more leverage

I think it's a little late for that

Jimbo will hate College Station. His family situation will consume too much of his mind. He will crash and burn. You can start the suicide clock now...

A&M will lose 5 games next year even with Jimbo.
Losses to: Clemson, Bama, LSU, Auburn.
They will lose one of these games: MSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, or USC.
8-5 for his first year counting a bowl win for them.

I think a couple trips to Atlanta would be considered the best case scenario. That would mean they would have a chance to win 2 SEC titles during his tenure. That's pretty damn good.

That would be a little bit of a failure though considering what he's done at FSU. Not abysmal or anything close to that but a tad underwhelming

I don't think Jimbo will do well at TAMU. I think he will tank. Absolutely nothing to back that up with, just a gut feeling. His best days are behind him, IMO

Making it to Atlanta twice would be no where near a failure.
Just making it to Atlanta would be enormous for aTm's program and their future.
Plus, once there they could actually win.

A&M pays top dollar for underwhelming. Look At the last regime.

I mean Arky and Missou have made it to ATL multiple times, thats not a huge standard

I think Fishers going to A&M but he'll never do better than a 9 win season there. I still think Fisher is a Great hire for A&M and would have much rather seen him hired as head coach of LSU last year rather than Cookie Monster, but Alleva "was the search " and binder was just to amazing for him to pass up.

Worst case: Jimbo resigns due to indoor facility being reserved for the yell leaders bukkake sessions on Wednesday nights

He’ll recruit bigly in Texas and pull a few 4 & 5 stars out of Florida every class. I think he’ll have at least 1 CFP appearance over the next 6 years. Likely win a natty if he’s there longer.
If, and it looks they will, A&M pull this off this is huge for that program and anyone who says otherwise is a fool.

He can recruit tremendously in Texas.

The home team has never won this series. The 2018 game is in Jordan-Hare.

I think he will improve the program. I'm curious if he can maintain it

Near your worst case.
After 2012 I was worried about TAMU
Now....
Texas was down. Tamu had manziel and the hip cool coach who knew Houston. If they couldn't get it done after that then the never will
