What is the most craziest part of this batshit crazy plan?

I'd say guaranteeing the successor head coach job for his no-qualifications having mullet head son.

For the last 7 years, he was BY FAR the worst GM in the NFL. He’s doing this 100% for his son. i.e Bobby Knight. Horrible hire

UNC is acting like a mid level premier league team who were just bought by Saudi owners.

Hire the most prestigious coach they can regardless of age or fit. Increase $ (UNC also announced today they are upping NIL to $20 mil).

I don't think it will work, but I'm really intrigued to see how this experiment goes. He has the potential to absolutely kill it in the transfer portal. "I'm Bill Belichheck. I've won 8 Superbowls in the NFL. If you want to go to the NFL. There's not a single coach in college who knows more about what it takes to be great than myself"

Tbh I might be talking myself into this hire potentially working. I almost feel like he's heard the people who've claimed that Brady made him and his career. So now he's off to prove them otherwise. The ACC isn't super dominant. He might have the chance to really make some noise in the conference.

Whether he is successful or it goes up in fire. I'll be watching.

By year 3 Belichik will have them competing for a playoff spot. Do y'all forget that this guy has one the very best defensive minds in the history of the game ? His culture and how he goes about his process I think will actually get over with his players.

If they meet his demands, which are much the same as the demands Saban made at LSU as soon as he got some leverage, UNC could be a very similar sleeping giant in football.

If the university got behind football the same way they support basketball, watch out. Oregon may have Nike Money, but UNC has Jordan Money, along with a long list of other high profile donors.

I think a contending UNC is also good for CFB. Since Clemson has fallen off, there needs to be a premier team or 3 to prop up the ACC, or they will eventually go the way of the Big East. Once they lose that credibility (which theyre already hanging on to by a thread) of being a powerful conference, its so hard to get back, and we get 1 step closer to 2 super conferences.

So I hope UNC gets BB, and I hope he has success there.

I would rather play under Belichick than Kelly; especially if I played defense. Will keep tabs on this

My lord, y’all really need to lower your expectations. There’s a very decent chance he isn’t even coaching there in 3 years.

Is it really that hard to believe? "Competing" for a playoff spot doesn't mean go 11-1 or 12-0 these days. Clemson went 9-3 in the regular season and they're in the damn thing. There's a dense cloud of smoke about expanding even further in 2026 too.

He sucked without a good qb. Most nfl coaches do. Have you noticed you can just go buy a good college qb in the transfer portal. Much harder to find a competent qb in college. HC aren’t recruiting anymore. They just hand out checks
