The roster didn’t suck overall, the only position group that sucked was OL. Lack of talent evaluation in the OL room
Led to a misallocation of resources in the portal. Which led to a disaster of an offense not able to run the ball and not able to protect the QB in the passing game. And inept play calling and scheme, etc. etc etc

He's the biggest loss, by far, of our coaching cycle. He was damn good at his job.
(Side note: I'm not sure Lane actually has the authority to fire Austin Thomas.)
So he was good at getting money, but crap at evaluating the talent it was spent on. Piss on him.
