You remember Trindon Holliday as a return guy at LSU?

When PP7 returned the opening kickoff and punts in the first game againt UNC, how long did it take you to forget TH?

My point is that if LM decides to bolt and take the job at Michigan, LSU will find someone to replace him to keep us a top 5 program and compete with anyone in the NCAA.

I wouldn't worry too much about losing recruits either. Just saying.

I think it was Mike Leach who said..

"LSU is a talent time bomb."

So you're comparing replacing a kick returner with one of the best coaches in school history?

makes sense...

You have WAY more confidence in the ability of Alleva, Martin and the bozos on the Board of Supervisors to make good decisions than their track records merit.

Do you really think Alleva is that dumb? I think everyone here would be shocked as to how many people would be interested in the LSU job.

On offense. He doesn't give a damn about defense. Would be a bad hire.

how many of those people are currently HC at Major programs that could come in and be successful immediately, keep up the recruiting success, and stay at LSU for 5+ years?

Kind of like how many people are interested in the Miamia job, or the UF job, or even the Michigan Job?

Be careful what you wish for. LSU isnt the end all B all in college football. If Les miles leaves it will just prove we are a stepping stone for a better gig.

I think more people would be shocked to see how many "top notched", "Tiger Rant" endorsed coaches would not be interested in the LSU job

so are we going to have a better returner than PP next season? and then when that kid leaves will the next returner be better than him?

there's inevitably a drop off point in everything.

After Saban we didnt reach that point with Les.

well eventually there will be a drop off point, and this year pretty much all of the good head coaches have been hired already, so im worried Les leaving would bring us to our drop off point.

What? some people think Miles was the wrong hire. I personally think we got lucky with saban and miles.

So that was directed to the people who dont like miles. What makes you think we would get a decent coach here? Assuming you dont think Miles is a good coach. Cus obviously to some, we made a bad hire. So why would you be confident in making the rt one this time?

Well maybe you should have read the post i replied to.

The same people who think we can go out and get anybody are the same who really want Les to leave. But yet they forget we had to hire Les to begin with.

its all good cus i know that we have had two solid coaches since mclendon. Saban and Miles.

No reason to believe we would get lucky for a 3rd time, unless we went all out and spent the big bucks. One of the main reasons people dont like Les. We pay too much for too little on the field production.

Trindon ---> PP7

is not the same as

Miles ----> unknown

The unknown is where you're going to get mouth-raped.
