staff changes?
It's killing our recruiting ATM. We should be all over Blake Anderson right now, and since the 'Stoops to Auburn' business got shot down, I haven't heard a damn thing about anybody else getting interviewed as our new DC. This is irritating.

I definitely am, but we also don't know all the information. I think Chiz wants to wait till after the bowl game to announce, and it isn't going to hurt our recruiting any different announcing today or Jan 1.

Needs to get the right coach, and not worry about one year of recruiting. If Anderson is the guy it will probably happen pretty soon.

I think Anderson would be good, but I think I may be leaning towards Koetter right now. I would be happy either way though.

I feel the same way, Koetter and Whitt Jr would be great, and if Kevin Greene came along it's just that much better.. those coaches might take a while to hire tho.

Not really. I want the best hires possible. If that takes time, then so be it.
We have lost one recruit, on some orchestrated BS. I would not say this is killing our recruiting. Most of this is rumor mongering from rival fanbases. Recruits should be buying the car not the salesman. If they dont believe in Auburn, then they dont need to come here.

I think LSU waited to announce Chavis until after the BCSCG or close to it. I am sure Chiz is moving, things will get much quieter with the Stoops public fiasco.

Not worried at all. We all wanted a new DC and Malzahn stayed a year longer than most thought. I am good with an announcement that comes anytime during the dead period

Dude chill, it is the Holidays and Bowl season. There are lots of reasons not to name a new OC and DC right now.

QB coach/OC at USM under Fedora.... young, energetic, spread background.... would've likely been hired as AU's OC last year had Gus taken Vandy/MD job. If chizik's going to keep the spread, Anderson's our guy...
IMO, I think we're gonna go in another direction with the offense... away from the spread.

Auburn never has and never will have to run a spread to be successful. The fans should chill out and know that Chizik is going to make the hire the he feels is right and it most likely will be a name that isn't be floated around by the fans. No one knows the rapport and relationships that these coaches have with each other.

he was up for HC at USM (finished 2nd) just yesterday.... if he doesn't get a better offer, i'd imagine he'll be in chapel hill for 2012
